पीएम मोदी ने मनीला में अंतरराष्ट्रीय चावल शोध संस्थान का अवलोकन किया

मनीला।  प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज फिलीपींस की राजधानी मनीला के समीप लॉस बानोस स्थित अंतरराष्ट्रीय चावल शोध संस्थान(आईआरआरआई) का अवलोकन किया।

यह संस्थान खाद्यान्न तथा धान बीज की बेहतर गुणवत्ता विकसित करने की दिशा में काम कर रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय की ओर से जारी ट्वीट की श्रृंखला में कहा गया कि आईआरआरआई में काफी संख्या में भारतीय वैज्ञानिक काम कर रहे हैं तथा इन क्षेत्रों में शोध एवं विकास के लिए अपना योगगदान दे रहे हैं।

एक अन्य ट्वीट के मुताबिक गत जुलाई में केंद्र ने वाराणसी में आईआरअारआई का दक्षिण एशिया क्षेत्रीय केंद्र स्थापित किये जाने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दी थी।

फिलीपींस में आईआरआरआई के मुख्यालय से बाहर यह पहला शोध केंद्र होगा। इस केंद्र के जरिये किसानों की आय,चावल उत्पादन में वृद्धि और उत्पादन लागत में कमी के उपायों के साथ ही किसानों के कौशल विकास में मदद मिलेगी।
