राहुल गांधी ने रोड शो किया और इसमें भारीपी भीड़ देखने को मिली। राहुल गांधी ने इस दौरान केंद्र सरकार और पीएम मोदी पर जमकर हमला बोला।

इरोड में अपने संबोधन के दौरान राहुल गांधी ने पीएम मोदी पर कटाक्ष करते हुए लोगों से कहा, ''मैं यहां आपको ये बताने नहीं आया हूं कि आपको क्या करना है। मैं आपसे अपने मन की बात करने भी नहीं आया हूं..मैं यहां आपकी बाते सुनने आया हूं और आपकी समस्याओं को सुनकर उनका निवारण करने आया हूं"

राहुल गांधी के रोड शो भारी भीड़ देखने को मिली। तमिलनाडु की जनता ने राहुल गांधी भव्य स्वागत किया। इस रोड शो के दौरान राहुल गांधी ने साफ कहा कि "मैं पीएम मोदी और बीजेपी को तमिलनाडु की जनता का अपमान करने नहीं दूंगा। मैं तमिलनाडु की जनता का सैनिक बनकर दिल्ली में प्रतिनिधित्व करना चाहता हूं। सरकार तक आपकी आवाज पहुंचाना ही मेरा एकमात्र लक्ष्य है।"

राहुल गांधी ने किसानों को भी जागरुक किया। उन्होंने भारत और चीन के बीच सीमा विवाद और किसानों के मुद्दों को लेकर राहुल गांधी ने केंद्र सरकार को निशाने पर लिया है। तमिलनाडु के इरोड में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि "अगर भारत के मजदूर, किसान और बुनकर मजबूत होते तो चीन भारत में घुसने की हिम्मत नहीं करता।"
राहुल गांधी ने कहा, "आपने अख़बार में पढ़ा होगा कि चीन भारत की ज़मीन पर कब्ज़ा कर रहा है। चीन देख सकता है कि भारत आज कमजोर है। मैं आपको गारंटी देता हूं कि अगर भारत के मज़दूर, किसान, बुनकर मजबूत और सुरक्षित होते तो चीन भारत में घुसने की हिम्मत कभी नहीं करता।"
केंद्र सरकार पर सवाल खड़ा करते हुए राहुल गांधी ने कहा, "किसानों की परेशानियों को सुनने, समझने की बजाए मौजूदा सरकार उन्हें आतंकवादी कहती है। इन ताकतों से हम मिलकर लड़ेंगे। हम अपने इतिहास में पहली बार देख रहे हैं कि किसान 26 जनवरी को रैली कर रहे हैं क्योंकि वो दुखी हैं और इस बात को समझते हैं कि जो उनका है वो उनसे छीना जा रहा है।"
