प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज अपने पांच दिवसीय आसियान देशों के दौरे के आखिरी दिन सिंगापुर स्थित मरिअम्मन मंदिर के दर्शन किए
नई दिल्ली। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज अपने पांच दिवसीय आसियान देशों के दौरे के आखिरी दिन सिंगापुर स्थित मरिअम्मन मंदिर के दर्शन किए। पीएम के मंदिर दर्शन पर विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रवीश कुमार ने ट्वीट कर कहा कि पीएम मोदी ने सांस्कृतिक रिश्तों को मजबूती देते हुए सिंगापुर के सबसे पुराने हिंदू मंदिर में पूजा की। उन्होंने बताया कि यह भगवान मरम्मन मंदिर 1827 में बनाया गया था।

मंदिर के साथ-साथ पीएम मोदी मशहूर चूलिया मस्जिद पहुंचे। जहां पर उन्हे हरे रंग का अंगवस्त्र भेट किया गय। यहां उनके साथ सिंगापुर के सांस्कृतिक मंत्री ग्रेस येन भी मौजूद रहे।

पीएम मोदी सिंगापुर के क्लिफॉर्ड पियर में महात्मा गांधी पट्टिका का अनावरण किया। इस दौरान सिंगापुर के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री गोह चोक तोंग भी उनके साथ मौजूद थे। आपको बता दें कि ये उन चुनिंदा जगहों में शामिल है, जहां बापू की अस्थियां विसर्जित की गई थीं। 70 साल पहले 1948 में गांधीजी की अस्थियों को भारत के साथ कई देशों में भेजा गया था। सिंगापुर में इन्हें क्लिफोर्ड पायर स्थित बीच पर बहाया गया था। ।

पीएम मोदी ने बोटेनिकल गार्डन में बने आर्किड गार्डन का भी दौरा किया। इस गार्डन को यूनेस्को ने वर्ल्ड हेरिटेज साइट का दर्जा दिया है। पीएम मोदी के दौरे की याद के तौर पर गार्डन के एक फूल का नाम डेंडोब्रियम नरेंद्र मोदी रखा गया है।
