इंडिया गेट पर प्रियंका गांधी का धरना, बोलीं- देश में लोकतंत्र है, तानाशाह नहीं चलेगी

नयी दिल्ली। कांग्रेस महासचिव प्रियंका वाड्रा तथा पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया विश्वविद्यालय में छात्रों के विरुद्ध पुलिस की कार्रवाई के विरोध में आज इंडिया गेट पर धरना दिया।

प्रियंका तथा कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता छात्रों के साथ एकजुटता दिखाने के लिये सांकेतिक धरने पर बैठे। धरने पर बैठे वरिष्ठ कांग्रेसी नेताओं में सर्वश्री गुलाम नबी आजाद, ए.के. एंटनी, अहमद पटेल, के.सी. वेणुगोपाल शामिल थे।

पार्टी के संचार विभाग के प्रमुख रणदीप सिंह सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि जामिया विश्वविद्यालय में छात्रों पर पुलिस ने जिस तरह की बर्बरतापूर्ण कार्रवाई की है उसके विरुद्ध तथा नागरिक संशोधन कानून के विरोध में देश भर में प्रदर्शन कर रहे छात्रों के साथ एकजुटता प्रदर्शित करने के लिये पार्टी नेतृत्व ने सांकेतिक धरना दिया है।
