मिनी माथुर ने 'इंडियन आइडल' को होस्ट करने के दिनों को किया याद

मुंबई । एक वीडियो जॉकी और अभिनेत्री रह चुकीं मिनी माथुर ने टीवी रिएलिटी शो 'इंडियन आइडल' की मेजबानी करने के दिनों को याद किया और अपनी इन्हीं पुरानी यादों का जिक्र उन्होंने रविवार को इंस्टाग्राम पर किया। मिनी लिखती हैं, "'इंडियन आइडल' भारत का पहला रिएलिटी शो रहा है..किसी को इस बात का अंदाजा नहीं था कि लोग इस शो को इतना पसंद करेंगे और यह इस कदर सफल होगा! एमटीवी में वीजे के तौर पर अपने काम से मैं पूरी तरह पांच साल दूर रही थी, मैंने अपने बेटे विवान को तभी जन्म दिया था..मुझे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रारूप पर बने एक बिल्कुल अलग तरह के शो को होस्ट करना था, लेकिन इसके साथ मैं भावनात्मक तौर पर इस कदर जुड़ी थी कि मैं अपने इस काम के लिए बिल्कुल भी तैयार नहीं थी क्योंकि यह पहला ऐसा शो रहा, जिसके कई सारे चरण थे। यह बिल्कुल सच और वास्तविक था। इसकी अलग से कोई प्रस्तुति नहीं थी। यह पहली बार था जब दर्शक विजेता के लिए मतदान में शामिल हुए थे।"

Indian idol was India’s first reality show....None of us had any idea that it would capture India’s imagination and go on to be a rage! I was straight out of 5 years as an MTV VJ, I had just delivered Vivaan... I was totally up to host a new international format but completely unprepared for being so emotionally involved with the show. Because it was a first at so many levels- pure, organic, truthful, naked. There was no pretension, no gimmicks or manipulation. It was also the first time viewers were involved in voting for the winner. I was chased by people to know more about the contestants (who I’m still close to), I travelled to remote corners of the country meeting people with such touching stories. I connected with truck drivers, farmers, students, vegetable sellers, housewives at the same time as A-list stars, music maestros and celebrities. I was the receptacle to the great indian “HOPE”. In a lot of ways .. I discovered a whole new side of myself with the 6 seasons I hosted. Found some pics from season 3- the season in which Prashant Tamang won. A big shout out to @huseinkk one of the BEST co-hosts I’ve ever worked with ! And to the lovely @farahkhankunder with who I had the best time on the show with @sonunigamofficial .. my eternal favourite and @alishachinaiofficial Javed saab, uditji and annuji and the OG team.
