आपातकाल में श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी की कार्यशैली हिटलर के समान हो गयी थी: अरुण जेटली

नयी दिल्ली। केन्द्रीय मंत्री एवं भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के वरिष्ठ नेता अरुण जेटली ने आज कहा कि श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी की आपातकाल में भूमिका जर्मनी के शासक एडोल्फ हिटलर की कार्यशैली के समान हो गयी थी।

The common man who did not understand the political consequence of dictatorship, understood it because of forced sterilization. As someone aptly put: दाद देता हूँ मैं मर्द-ए-हिंदुस्तान की, सर कटा सकते हैं लेकिन नस कटा सकते नहीं l

Both Hitler & Mrs. Gandhi never abrogated the Constitution. They used a republican Constitution to transform democracy into dictatorship. Hitler arrested most of the opposition Members of Parliament & converted his minority Government in Parliament into a 2/3rd majority govt.

During Emergency an atmosphere of fear & terror prevailed in the country. Political activity had come to a grinding halt. The dissenters were mainly political workers of the opposition party & the RSS. They kept repeatedly organizing Satyagrahas & courted arrest.

जेटली ने आपातकाल पर अपने लेखों की श्रृंखला के दूसरे लेख में यह भी लिखा कि कुछ मायनों में श्रीमती इंदिरा गाँधी ने कुछ ऐसे काम किये जो हिटलर ने भी नहीं किये थे। उन्होंने कहा, “हिटलर एवं श्रीमती गांधी दोनों ने संविधान को कभी नहीं माना। उन्होंने गणतांत्रिक संविधान की मदद से लोकतंत्र को तानाशाही में बदला था।

The press was completely terrorized. Most editors & journalists surrendered & reconciled with the Idea of living in dictatorship. The Congress Party newspaper “National Herald” editorially commented that time had come for India to evolve into a single party democracy.

Mrs. Gandhi's imposition of Emergency under Article 352, suspension of fundamental rights under Article 359 and her claim that “disorder was planned by the opposition in the country”, echoed Hitler's “Reichstag” episode as exposed by the Nuremberg trials after 13 years

उन्होंने कहा कि हिटलर ने संसद के अधिकांश विपक्षी सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार किया और संसद में अल्पमत की सरकार को दो तिहाई बहुमत की सरकार में बदल दिया। इसी प्रकार से श्रीमती गांधी ने अधिकतर विपक्षी नेताओं को गिरफ्तार करके उनकी गैरमौजूदगी में दो तिहाई बहुमत हासिल किया और संविधान संशोधन के माध्यम से कई आपत्तिजनक प्रावधानों को पारित कराया। यही नहीं उन्होंने संसद की कार्यवाही के मीडिया में प्रकाशन को प्रतिबंधित किया था जो हिटलर तक नहीं कर पाया था।

The Representation of People Act was retrospectively amended to insert those provisions so that the invalid election of Mrs. Gandhi could be validated by changes in law. Unlike Hitler, Mrs. Gandhi went ahead to transform India into a ‘dynastic Democracy’.

जेटली ने कहा कि हिटलर के चुनाव को खारिज किया गया था लेकिन उसे इसे बदलने का कोई मौका नहीं मिला। लेकिन श्रीमती गांधी ने संविधान एवं जनप्रतिनिधित्व कानून को ही बदल दिया था। संविधान के 42वें संशोधन के साथ उच्च न्यायालयों के अधिकार कम कर दिये थे। मीडिया को बुरी तरह से आतंकित किया गया था। अधिकतर पत्रकारों एवं संपादकों ने तानाशाही के सामने सिर झुका कर चलना स्वीकार किया था।

The then AICC President, Devakanta Barua proclaimed “Indira is India and India is Indira”. In a letter to Mrs. Gandhi from his detention JP wrote “Do not equate yourself with the nation. India is immortal, you are not”.

The Lesson from the Emergency is that if you curb free speech and allow only propaganda, you become the first victim of propaganda because you start believing that your own propaganda is the truth and the full truth.

दूसरी तरफ भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता सुधांशु त्रिवेदी ने पार्टी मुख्यालय में एक मीडिया ब्रीफिंग में कांग्रेस पर आरोप लगाया कि वह लगातार विभाजनकारी बातें कर रही है। कांग्रेस नेता दिग्विजय सिंह कहते हैं कि हिन्दू शब्द है ही नही वही कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता रणदीप सुरजेवाला ने राहुल गांधी को जनेऊधारी हिन्दू कहा था राहुल बताये कि कौन सही है दिग्विजयसिंह या सुरजेवाला?

त्रिवेदी ने कहा कि उनके पिता के नाना पं. जवाहर लाल नेहरू ने डिस्कवरी ऑफ इंडिया में हिन्दू शब्द की पूरी परिभाषा दी है।अब श्री गांधी यह बताये की वह उनके नाना नेहरू को सही मानते हैं या दिग्विजयसिंह को? छत्रपति शिवाजी ने फिर कैसे हिन्दू पादशाही की स्थापना की थी? उन्होंने कहा कि जर्मन शासक एडोल्फ हिटलर की तर्ज पर कुछ लोगो के लिए इंडिया इज इंदिरा हो गयी है। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस कभी कहती है कि हिन्दू शब्द होता क्या है? तो कभी कांग्रेस जनेऊधारी हिन्दू बन जाती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि आखिर राहुल गांधी स्पष्ट करे कब तक कलाबाजियां खायेंगे।
